Hajime Asoka

After working as a wristwatch designer, Hajime Asaoka started to make wristwatches by himself, and in 2009 announced Japan’s first high-end mechanical wristwatch equipped with a highly difficult tourbillon mechanism. Watches that give off their intense originality are attracting attention from all over the world. Even now, he is active as an independent watchmaker who handles the whole process of watchmaking from scratch. He is also a full member of the Independent Watchmaker Academy (AHCI), an international organization made up of dozens of independent watchmakers in the world.
